Welcome! So you want to know about 4th London Python Dojo / Meetup, huh? Here’s a few details.
What?
What is a coding dojo? This is a coding dojo.
You can get a report of what we did last time from Nick here and here or from Tim here and here. We’re hoping it will be even more fun this time.
After a group discussion last time it was agreed that the next meetup should involve presentations, demos, talks, individual “code and tell” and other such activities. We already have six people who want to do something:
- Dave Kirby – Ipython (an enhanced Python shell)
- Carles Pina Estany – How to do a real time system with OpenOffice.org Impress and Python using pyuno to fetch values from Mysql
- Ben Moran – Solving Sudoku with cvxopt
- René Dudfield – pygame in 10 minutes
- Nicholas Tollervey – Dojo Future… lets agree something concrete
I’ll also be asking for further participants too… if you have a great idea for a talk, want to get something off your chest or show us something cool then volunteer a talk ;-)
Free pizza and beer will be provided.
Participants who give a presentation get the chance to win a cool book (thanks O’Reilly).
